STEP 1: Application submitted to the VBA. All applicants must submit an application to the VBA for their Builders Licence.
STEP 2: VBA Application Assessment. This is when the VBA assess your application. Fail to successfully complete the application in any way will mean your application will be rejected by the VBA.
STEP 3: Computer Test. You will be instructed to sit an electronic multiple-choice and plan mistakes test held at the VBA office in Melbourne’s CBD.
STEP 3: One-on-one Assessment. Within a month approximately of passing the multiple-choice test, the VBA will to contact you for your one-one-one assessment. This assessment is likely to last 2-3 hours. You will be notified of the assessor’s recommendation, either on the day or when the assessor decides, usually you are informed in writing of your results.
